Christian Ervin is a Research Associate at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, where he recently completed a master's degree in design technologies. He works in the Responsive Environments and Artifacts Lab, serving as project manager for a unique collaboration with the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering on intelligent material systems. An architect and interaction designer, Ervin received his B.Arch from Rice University in 2008.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
